Rates, Minimums, Cancelations, Payment, Length

HOURLY: You are charged for your mediation appointment by the hour. The time billed will include all time spent by the mediator in the activities related to your case and mediation (before, during, and in some circumstances after your session).

MEDIATOR RATES AND MINIMUM FEES: Scott Bennett rate is $200/hr. and his Minimum Fee is 3 hours or $600

CANCELLATION FEES: Cancelation Fee and Rescheduling Fee is $500. You can cancel your appointment at no cost and for any reason at any time, if you do so at least 14 days before your appointment. If an appointment is requested to be cancelled or rescheduled for any reason within 14 days of the date of the appointment, a cancelation fee is immediately due via credit card or VENMO by the canceling party, or one-half by each party if the cancellation is mutual.

ACCEPTABLE PAYMENT METHODS: Square, Venmo, Zelle, all major credit and debit cards. Cash is acceptable if the appointment is in-person. We no longer accept checks. Payment for parties represented by counsel is due at the end of the session. For unrepresented parties, a deposit equal to the minimum fee for the mediator is due upon booking and you will pay the balance pay on credit card or Venmo at the conclusion of the day's mediation. Non-payment of the booking deposit may result in canceling the appointment. Please see my cancellation policy below.

HOW LONG IS THE MEDIATION SESSION: When you book an appointment, how much time you send on it is up to you. The mediator will set aside up to 8 hours for your case that day. Unless there are only limited issues, normally, most mediation sessions run between 3 and 8 hours, so be sure and plan your day without other conflicts. Follow up sessions can be made as needed.
